The CITB Health Safety Environment test is a mandatory requirement for anyone applying for a CSCS card, proving that you understand the essential health, safety, and environmental standards expected on a UK construction site.
ARC Plant & Civils helps you prepare for and book your Operatives, Specialist, or Managers & Professionals (MAP) CITB test—either as part of a training package or as a standalone service.

What Is the CITB Health Safety Environment test?
This multiple-choice test assesses knowledge in:
- General site health & safety
- Environmental awareness
- Personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Manual handling
- Working at height
- Emergency procedures
Test Categories Available
We offer guidance and booking support for:
- Operatives Test – for most labourers and entry-level roles
- Specialist Test – for trades including plumbing, demolition, road working, etc.
- Managers & Professionals Test (MAP) – for supervisors, managers, site agents
Test Centre Access
ARC is an approved CITB testing centre, we:
- Offer Level 1 Health & Safety training as a package with the Operatives test
- Provide revision materials and support to help you pass first time
