ARC Plant & Civils Training offers a variety of Personal Funding options to support individuals pursuing plant and construction training in Wales. These funding schemes are designed to make training more accessible and affordable for eligible candidates.
Available Funding Options
1. ReAct+ Funding
ReAct+ is a Welsh Government initiative aimed at helping individuals who are unemployed or under notice of redundancy. Eligible candidates can receive:
- Up to £1,500 towards training costs
- Up to £2,100 for childcare or caring responsibilities during training
- Up to £200 for additional expenses such as travel and accommodation
This support is tailored to assist individuals in gaining the skills needed to return to employment promptly.
2. Personal Learning Account (PLA)
The PLA program provides fully funded, flexible courses for eligible individuals across Wales. To qualify, applicants must:
- Be 19 years or older
- Reside in Wales
- Be employed (including self-employed) earning under £30,596 annually, or
- Be on zero-hours contracts, agency staff, or full-time carers
Note: Full-time students and unemployed individuals are not eligible.
3. Part-Funding for Plant NVQs
ARC offers part-funding opportunities for candidates aiming to achieve their Blue CPCS card on various machines, including:
- 360° Excavator
- Dozer
- Dumper
- Ride-on Roller
- Telescopic Handler
- Loading Shovel
- Articulated Dump Truck
This funding is available across Wales to support skill development in plant operations.
